Eleanor bedroom furniture is part of the Hevea Collection by Serene Furnishings, designed in partnership with an accomplished British designer with over 20 years experience. An eye for detail and unique skills as a cabinet maker are clearly visible, with each piece reflecting a wealth of knowledge for producing quality furniture. Inspired by the Shaker style, Eleanor has clean elegant lines with simple proportions. Eleanor bedroom furniture includes beds, bunk beds, day beds, chest of drawers and wardrobes - all protected with several layers of lacquer and available in a choice of Honey Oak or Opal White finishes.
Hevea bedroom furniture ranges are handcrafted using carefully selected environmentally-friendly Hevea wood from the Brasiliensis tree, which is only used in furniture at the end of the trees life cycle. Hevea wood is a hardwood grown primarily for natural rubber and is one of the most eco-friendly woods used in furniture making. After about 30 years the latex yields become extremely low and Hevea Brasiliensis trees are replaced by new ones. So, unlike other woods that are cut down for the sole purpose of producing furniture, Hevea is used only after it completes it's latex producing cycle. This wood is therefore both eco-friendly and sustainable. The stunning grain detail and strength of the wood makes it perfect for creating outstanding furniture.
